Mamsha Ahl Masr Walkway phase 1 construction in Egypt completed

The first phase construction of the Mamsha Ahl Masr Walkway, a multi-service pathway along the banks of the Nile that is also known as the Walk of Egypt, has been completed ahead of its opening in early 2022.

This phase includes a 1.8 kilometers long upper walkway with a width of 4.5 meters and a 1.8 kilometers lower walkway with a width of 6.5 meters over a total area of 7,066 square meters, extending from the Imbaba Bridge to the 15 May Bridge.

It also includes five restaurants, five cafes, 62 shops, three parking lots that can take up to 180 cars each, and a 275 square-meter theatre that can accommodate 772 people.

Mamsha Ahl Masr Walkway project Phase 2 and 3

The second and third phases of the Mamsha Ahl Masr Walkway project are still under construction. The second, which is 3.2-kilometer-long, extends from the Qasr Al-Nil Bridge to 6 of October Bridge over an area of 0.8 kilometers, and from the 6 of October Bridge to the 15 of May Bridge over an area of 1.1 kilometers, and again from the Imbaba Bridge to the Sahel Bridge over an area of 1.3 kilometers.

The third phase, on the other hand, is 3-kilometer-long and it extends from the Tahya Misr Bridge to the Sahel Bridge, a distance of 1.9 kilometers, and from the Qasr Al-Nil Bridge to the Meridian Bridge, a distance of 1.1 kilometers.

The multi-segment project was launched in 2019 by City Edge Developments under the Egyptian Ministry of Housing’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
